About our Gold plated, Stainless steel and Waterproof / Tarnish-resistant jewellery collection:

Our tarnish-resistant jewellery collection is plated using Physical Vapor deposition coating. It's a vacuum coating process that is stronger than regular gold plating.

You can confidently wear these pieces in water. The colour of the gold might darken but it will not fade.

However, to make your jewellery coating last longer, we recommended you to follow the proper care instructions.

Please follow the instructions below to make your Lilou jewellery last longer:
Apply perfumes, creams and hair care products before wearing your jewellery
Please be gentle when you handle the jewellery as although it’s made of stainless steel, it’s still delicate.
You can wear our Waterproof / Tarnish-proof jewellery in the shower or while swimming. However, it's highly recommended not to use them in the shower repeatedly. Avoid using soaps or any type of harsh chemicals directly on the jewellery as it might lead to discolouration.
The colour of the gold plating might darken overtime but it will not fade.
When it comes to rings, be mindful while doing everyday tasks as scratches might lead the gold plating to wear off over time.
We recommend keeping your jewellery as dry as possible as this will help prolong the longevity of your pieces, and retain their colour and shine.
